Intel Socket Will Change Again?

>> Tuesday, January 19, 2010

Intel (Land Grid Array) LGA 775 slowly but surely be condemned by the socket LGA 1156. But make no mistake, this new socket was not necessarily long-lived. To be connected to the motherboard, a processor embedded in a special holder (socket). Since Intel's Pentium IV up to Intel's Core 2 Quad never replace the socket is used.

However, recently, a new socket also comes as the presence of a new line of Intel processors. Socket LGA 1156, was positioned Intel as the standard current socket 'evicted' LGA 775.

LGA 1156 had still not familiar among computer users, already blowing news that Intel will implement new standards in the range of socket processors that will come. However, the Intel could not yet confirm this news.

"We are planning a new system next year, not only would have used a different socket or not," said Budi Wahyu Jati, Intel's Country Manager, Indonesia, the Blowfish Cafe, Jakarta, Tuesday, (19.1.2010).

More headache again, despite a socket different processor names used may be the same. It has been proven on a range of Core i7 LGA 1156 some use and some with LGA 1366.
