Lars Boilesen menjadi CEO baru Opera

Norwegian browser, Opera has just dropped their option on the Lars Boilesen as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) a new Opera, succeeding to the throne Jon von Tetzchner. Boilesen who previously served as Chief Commercial Officer started taking the role as CEO earlier this week. Predecessor, Tetzchner said it had handed over the post to Boilesen and believe that his leadership will be followed by even better by the 'junior' it.

"The important thing is, we have a regeneration. Boilesen ranks of officers approached the Opera last year, smart ideas and potential CEO position. I really know him, he is a decent person holding this power," Tetzchner said, as quoted by ZDNet , Thursday (7/1/2010).

Boilesen recorded has been in the world of sales and business development for 20 years. He had been a senior at various technology companies, including TANDBERG Data and Lego.

In the period 2000 to 2005, Opera Boilesen trust as Vice President of Sales and Marketing Opera and became an important part of the company's browser. But then in 2005, he had left the opera and became CEO of Alcatel-Lucent in the Baltic region, before finally returning to the Opera a year ago.

While Tetzchner who has worked in opera for 15 years, still will stay at the Opera but with different positions is an advisory firm.

"You can call my adviser and we will continue to cooperate. Opera is like my baby and I want to still see it grow big and successful," said Tetzchner.
